This shot is at Lime Rock Park. It was a mixed class with GT4
& 5 , Production and Spec Racer Fords. Those Spec Racers are
tough to see sometimes. Coming out of the second apex of Big Bend.
This is also at Lime Rock in tyhe short chute after Big Bend coming
into the only left hand turn on the course. Those Spec Racers are
like fly's!!
My Favorite shot. It's at Lime Rock in August of 1999. Regional
race win. This was a good day.
Here's a shot at Pocono International on the new course. That's
my buddy Bobby Smart in an E-Prod BMW on my fanny. We were playing
tag all day. Coming off the back straight onto the south road course
portion at very high speed. Major braking.
Neat shot in about the same place during qualifying. Major braking.
Nice plastic bag stuck on the front valance!
This is a shot showing the turn-in to the south portion of the road
course at Pocono. Bobby's tight on my tail. Man we were having a
ball!
This is the start of the NARRC Runoffs in September of 1999. Bobby
got the inside line on me going into Big Bend. Great diversity of
cars in the class. Only GT & Production this time. No Spec
Racers, they had plenty for their own class.
Look closely at the car, does it look a little funny? The drivers
door is missing! A Mini driver to remain nameless got a little "Red
Mist" going into Big Bend on the third lap and tried to go down the inside
in the wet. He lost it and I went under, unfortunately, he kept his
foot in it and it came back around and he T-boned me in the drivers side
A-pillar. ripped off the door and half the front fender, and knocked the
toe out about an inch.
Pretty much speaks for itself!
Yep,
sure made it hard to drive! Took a couple of seconds off a lap too.
BUT WAIT! Perserverance means to never give up. Even though
I dropped to 3rd in GT4 by this point in the race, It was a
25 lap race. A few laps later, #1 in class blew his motor and several
laps after that the other car dropped out with a mechanical. Guess
Who won the NARRC Runoffs in GT4!!
